Battle of the Short Stacks

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Marco Della Tommasina raised to 32,000 from the button and Kemal Sevevi defended his big blind after inquiring about the stack size of his opponent. Sevevi check-called a bet of 30,000 on the {7-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {7-Spades} flop before the {K-Diamonds} turn got checked through. Sevevi couldn't beat the {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} of the Italian after the {8-Spades} had completed the board and Della Tommasina bet small.

Olgun vs Kesnin

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ercan Olgun raised and found a caller in Vasili Kesnin to see the flop of {4-Hearts} {10-Spades} {2-Spades}. Both players checked and Kesnin check-called a bet of 43,000 on the {K-Hearts} turn. The {J-Spades} river was checked through again and Kesnin's {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} was no good versus {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs}.

Two Shoves

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Towards the end of the level, Vasili Kesnin opened to 25,000 and Atanas Kavrakov as well as Vasilii Grekul called to see the three-way flop of {J-Clubs} {4-Spades} {9-Clubs}. The action was checked to Grekul and he bet 38,000 only to see Kesnin check-raise all in for 303,000. Both opponents folded.

Shortly after, Grekul opened to 25,000 and Ercan Olgun three-bet to 63,000. Grekul moved all in and enforced a fold from Olgun, who tanked for minutes and then folded into a one-minute of consideration.

Big Blind Special for Kavrakov

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Atanas Kavrakov
Atanas Kavrakov

Kemal Sevevi raised to 25,000 from the button and was called by Vasili Kesnin in the small blind as well as Atanas Kavrakov in the big blind. On the {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} {5-Spades} flop, the action was checked to Sevevi and he bet 32,000. Kesnin called but then folded when Kavrakov check-raised to 100,000. Sevevi called.

Both players checked the {3-Spades} turn and Kavrakov bet 160,000 after the {2-Clubs} river. Sevevi looked quite confused but ended up calling to muck his {9-Clubs} when shown {9-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. It should also be mentioned that nine-deuce is the favorite hand of this very blogger.

Torbey Doubles Through Kesnin

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jacques Torbey raised from the button and Vasili Kesnin defended his big blind to see the flop of {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts}. No action occurred and the {6-Spades} turn then started fireworks to see Torbey all in for 283,000. Kesnin looked him up with {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} but was drawing to one out only.

Torbey had turned the nut full house with {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and the {J-Spades} river didn't bring any miracle.

Ercan Olgun raised to 26,000 from under the gun and was called by Vasili Kesnin as well as Vitalii Grekul in the big blind. On the {6-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} flop, Olgun's all in didn't get called and he claimed the pot without showdown.
