Show the Bluff!

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ivan Luca Franco three-bet preflop and was called by Yuri Kaganovich as well as Jack Torbay. The Argentinian also fired the {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} turn for just under 5,000 chips. On the {5-Diamonds} river, Franco moved all in for 12,600 and both opponents folded, Torbay flashing his {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.

Andreas Christoforou just returned to the table and told Franco to show the bluff. Franco checked both his cards and then flipped over the {2-Spades}.

Tedeschi Done In

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

"Well, that's it," a disappointed Paul-Francois Tedeschi said when walking away from the tournament area. The Frenchman still had a smile on the face though. "What happened?" we asked the Tedeschi replied that he lost with pocket jacks against the pocket queens of "the guy that busted Chino". Which is Khalil Tawil.

Etemad Saeid is Upset

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

In table chat we understood that Amir Ali Etemad Saeid was informing his friends about a "set-over-set" incident. The chips went to Atanas Kavrakov, who doubled up and needs the encouragement on his second bullet for Day 1b.

Ahmed Folds Jacks

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Until the river of a {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {7-Spades} board, a pot of 25,000 chips had emerged and Yuri Kaganovich was all in for 14,000. Ahmed Mehmed Ahmed had not much more left and wasn't too happy about the decision at all. The Bulgarian eventually folded {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} face up.

Time for a Comeback?

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Only half an hour of play is left for the short stacks to make some moves and Marko Mikovic is nearing starting stack again. Paul-Francois Tedeschi is one double up away from exactly that.

The Sudden Rush

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Vasili Kesnin was the player that busted against the set of queens of Ara Melkistian and he re-entered a few moments ago. Besides that another two players busted and table seven was just removed. A rush of all in showdowns that has been rare the last hour suddenly gets a little peak before the end of level eight.

Flopping Sets for a Living

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem just re-entered a few minutes ago and we saw him standing up and rushing out. Ara Melkistian wasn't too unhappy about it, as he was gifted the 30,000 add on after both players got into a raising war and had 10,000 chips in preflop.

On the {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop, Rheem moved all in for 20,000 with pocket sevens and Melkistian had an easy< decision with pocket aces. There was no runner runner miracle, as the {4-Hearts} on the turn put things to an end.

Flipping It

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Ivan Luca Franco three-bet large and then called the four-bet of Sharbel Koumi for 20,150 chips with {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} to see his opponent turn over {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}. The Lebanese would win the flip on a board of {3-Clubs} {4-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}, leaving Franco with just over starting stack.

Rheem Back in It

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

As expected, Chino Rheem has taken advantage of the single re-entry option and jumped right back in with half of level eight and one further beyond that to go on Day 1b.
