A Bracelet Winner Busts

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Simeon Naydenov
Simeon Naydenov

In one of the first hands after the break, the partypoker World Poker Tour Vienna Main Event lost its first bracelet winner of the day.

Fedor Holz opened under the gun to 750 and David Abramov, his neighbor in the one seat, three bet to 2,050. A couple positions down it was Simeon Naydenov who cold four bet shoved from the hijack position. We're not entirely sure how much it was that he shoved for, but it wasn't a whole lot.

Action quickly folded back to Holz who tossed his cards into the muck just as rapidly. Abramov quickly called though, tossing in a 100 chip to give Naydenov the bad news.

David Abramov: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Simeon Naydenov: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Naydenov already got up from his chair after the {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop. He needed an eight or runner runner flush or straight, but wouldn't be so lucky this time around.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn and {7-Diamonds} on the river were blanks and Naydenov hit the rail.

On a flop of {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades} Rumen Nanev, seated under the gun, checked to Fedor Holz in the cutoff. The German youngster bet 2,300 and Nanev made the call.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the turn and Nanev now check called a bet of 4,900 from Holz.

The {3-Spades} completed the board and Nanev checked for the third time. Holz contemplated his action, and then just said "Check" to the dealer.

Nanev now showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but Holz tabled {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for the winner.

Baumann Folds to River Raise

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{A-Spades} on the table we saw Gaelle Baumann bet out 2,700 from the small blind. Luca Giovannone in the hijack raised it up to 6,400 and Baumann made the call.

The French lady checked on the {7-Hearts} turn. Giovannone leaned forward, stared at the board for a second or two, scratched his head, and checked behind.

The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Baumann bet out a mere 3,500. "Thirty five hundred?" asked Giovannone. The dealer nodded and Giovannone glanced at his stack. He took 9,000 and tossed it in the middle.

Baumann almost immediately folded. Giovannone was so kind to show his hand: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

On a board of {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} we just saw Ognyan check call a bet of 4,600 from Gerald Karlic. On the {A-Spades} river both Dimov in the blinds and Karlic in late position checked. Dimov quickly showed he had gotten lucky with his {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, he had missed the flush but rivered the pair, Karlic mucked.

The next hand David Boyaciyan opened for 900 from middle position and Gerald Karlic made the call right next to him. Wolfgang Wessin in the big blind over called.

Wessin checked to Boyaciyan on {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the Dutchman bet 1,500. Both Karlic and Wessin called.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and Wessin and Boyaciyan checked to Karlic. The hometown hero bet 4,800 and Wessin called, Boyaciyan folded.

Both players checked the {K-Clubs} on the river and Wessin showed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for the missed draw. Karlic tabled {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and took it down.
