Alexandre Reard
Alexandre Reard

Alexandre Reard defended his big blind to see a four-way flop of {5-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {2-Clubs} and Yehoram Houri made a continuation bet of 6,500. One opponent called, Isabel Baltazar folded and Reard check-raised all in with {3-Clubs} {7-Clubs} for the flopped flush. Houri called with {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} and completed a full house after {3-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river had completed the board.

"Can't I Eat my Cards?"

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

Matas Cimbolas raised from under the gun and was called by Jussi Cimbolas in the big blind. During the hand, Cimbolas already talked a lot to his opponent and they checked down the {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} board until the river. Before it was the turn of the Finn to make his decision, Cimbolas was at it again.

"Don't forget, you are on tilt. Don't make any crazy moves." About two seconds later Matilla moved all in and Cimbolas asked for a count. It was 39,100 to call and the question "If I fold, you show your bluff?" went unanswered. Eventually Cimbolas called and was shown the {2-Spades} {8-Spades}.

The Lithuanian was reluctant to turn over his cards, since it was an all in showdown tournament director Christian Scalzi reminded him that all cards had to be shown. "Can't I eat my cards?" Cimbolas asked and the entire table cracked up. It was the {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs} of Cimbolas that brought both players almost even in chips.

Matthias de Clercq

Just before the end of the level, Matthias de Clercq four-bet shoved from middle position for 70,000 chips and Anthony Rodrigues called out of the small blind with pocket jacks. His fellow Belgian had {A-} {K-} but couldn't get there with the two over cards.

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

The {Q-Hearts} was exposed when cards were pitched to the player in the small blind and Marcel Luske had the action checked to him on the button. The Dutchman moved all in for 35,000 with {Q-} {J-} and Matas Cimbolas called out of the big blind with pocket aces to score the knockout.

As soon as Luske was eliminated, the screens moved to 54 players remaining and yet another table was broken.

Horrendous Beat for Rodrigues

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Anthony Rodrigues
Anthony Rodrigues

Anthony Rodrigues open-shoved his short stack with pocket nines and was called by Jozsef Szabo from two seats over with {A-} {J-}. The {9-} {2-} {2-} flop all but locked up the hand for the Belgian, however turn and river provided running aces for Szabo to send Rodrigues to the rail. The other players at the tables did some quick calculation and it was 0.7% on the flop to see Szabo win.

Matas Cimbolas Bubbles the 2015 bwin.be WPTN Brussels

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas is the Bubble Boy
Matas Cimbolas is the Bubble Boy

Mathieu Alciato raised from under the gun and Matas Cimbolas moved all in for his short stack to get called by Barny Boatman, the player in the big blind as well as Alciato. On the {9-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {K-Clubs} flop, the player in the big blind check-called a bet of 11,000 by Alciato and then folded the {5-Hearts} turn to another 24,000 bet.

Once the other tables were finished, the showdown proceeded:

Cimbolas: {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}
Alciato: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

Only a seven could save the Lithuanian but the {8-Clubs} river was a brick. The last 12 minutes of the level are still played before everyone is sent off into a 60-minute dinner break.

Saout Joins the Rail

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

Antoine Saout moved all in for what appeared to be his last two big blinds and Niko Koop min-raised to scare off all other players in the last hand of the level. Koop joked to the Frenchman that they would be splitting most of the time, as he held {K-Clubs} {5-Clubs} and Saout got {K-Hearts} {3-Clubs}.

However, the {2-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} board gave Koop a straight and he knocked out the third player in a row.

Kyne Elmouloua
Kyne Elmouloua

After a huge preflop raising war, Kyne Elmouloua was all in and at risk for 699,000 with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and Tonny van Eck was the only player to bust him on the same table, making the call with the {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades} and van Eck was sent back all the way down to 75,000 chips.
