Welcome to Day 2 of the partypoker WPT National London 2015

Who will make it into the money on Day 2?
Who will make it into the money on Day 2?

The second day of the £ 200 No Limit Hold'em partypoker WPT National London Accumulator at the Aspers Casino kicks off in about one hour from now at 1 p.m. UK time. After three flights and 594 entries in total, 205 players will return on their mission to become the new World Poker Tour National champion.

Leading the field is Stuart Hulston with 181,000 after bagging up a big stack on day 1a and day 1c followed by day 1b chip leader Matas Cimbolas with 169,200 and Aziz Kara with 142,100. Cimbolas won the WPT Nottingham late last year and also final tabled the EPT Deauville Main Event recently, confirming his stellar form as of lately.

The money will be reached today as 12 levels of 40 minutes each are scheduled or until the last 16 players have been reached, whichever of the two comes first. With the initial blinds at 600 - 1,200 and a running ante of 200, there is still plenty of room to make some moves.

Above-average stacks for the restart include Kevin Allen (130,200), Zagon Calin (121,200), online qualifier Gareth Smirthwaite (113,400), Peteris Berzins (113,200), Ali Zihni (102,400) and Laurence Essa (94,100). Surinder Sunar (90,200), WPT champions club member Tony Dunst (74,500), Tristan Chaplin (73,500), 2014 WPT500 Nottingham runner-up Matthew Noonan (70,400), Aleksandar Spadijer (58,700) and Tamer Kamel (55,900). James Akenhead (40,200) and former WPTN London champion Gabriel Tuna (29,200) have plenty of work ahead if they wish to cash in the event.

The PokerNews team will be there to cover all good and bad beats on the way to the money, so make sure to tune back in regularly! If you are the venue, don't forget to collect your wristband in the partypoker lounge to enjoy free drinks and giveaways at the WPT players party as of 10.30 p.m. UK time in the Aspers Sky Bar.

Luong Busts Citrone and Carrasco

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Carlo Citrone
Carlo Citrone

Joining the action on the {8-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {3-Spades} {10-Diamonds} turn, Carlo Citrone bet 8,200 and was called by Manuel Carrasco before Vincent Luong raised. Citrone moved all in and so did Carrasco with Luong snap-calling and jumping out of his chair.

Luong: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}
Citrone: {8-Clubs} {10-Clubs}
Carrasco: {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds}

No card in the deck could help either opponent as Luong had the hand locked up already, a meaningless {K-Clubs} river completed the board.

Dunst on the Rail

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Aziz Kara and Tony Dunst
Aziz Kara and Tony Dunst

In the last level, Tony Dunst raised to 3,300 and was called by the player on the button before the opponent in the big blind squeezed to 11,500 with a stack of 61,000. Dunst reraised to 28,500 and called the shove with {A-} {Q-} only to end up second-best to the pocket queens of the player in the big blind.

Now in the third level, Dunst was all in for 18,000 from the cutoff with {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and got looked up by an opponent with {A-} {K-} to see a king appear on the flop and turn, leaving him drawing dead.

Mapley Busts Nader Zadeh

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Darren Mapley
Darren Mapley

Joining the action on a flop of {2-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {6-Spades} with around 45,000 chips in the pot, Jan Nader Zadeh checked to Darren Mapley on the button and faced a bet of 30,000. Nader Zadeh check-raised to 60,000 and was eventually called to see the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Nader Zadeh took his time before moving all in for his remaining 70,000 chips and was snap-called.

Nader Zadeh: {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}
Mapley: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades}

The {10-Hearts} river was a brick and Mapley becomes the joint chip leader.

Big Double Up for O'Brien

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Alexandra O'Brien
Alexandra O'Brien

More than 150,000 chips were already in the pot with the board reading {5-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {3-Spades}. Gary Pearce moved all in and Alexandra O'Brien was caught off guard. "Always getting into these stupid hands," she said in table chat. Some more consideration would see her call off for the last 49,500 chips with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} and Pearce held the inferior {A-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}.

The {K-Clubs} river confirmed her double up and she was still in disbelief. "Oh my god, I could have been gone." With shaky hands she stacked the chips and then didn't notice that a player in the seat next to her hadn't acted yet. O'Brien moved all in to scare everyone off and then showed the {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}. "I hate pocket kings," she said and received a one hand penalty for acting out of turn.

Hazardous Hazan on the Bubble

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jeraint "JJ" Hazan
Jeraint "JJ" Hazan

Francisco Manuel Salvador Flores raised and called the three-bet shove of Jeraint "JJ" Hazan for around 300,000 in chips while the stone cold bubble was in play. All other tables were about to be finished and the WPT photographer did his duty, taking shots of both the Spaniard and Hazan.

"God damn, don't take the pictures now when I am all in against kings. He showed them already! You have enough pictures from before when I was happy," a grumpy Hazan said. When it was time for the showdown, he flipped over the {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and Slvador Flores held {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

With the board running out {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {8-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs}, Hazan jumped up, ecstatic and then erupted in celebration. "TAKE THE #### PICTURE NOW" he said, impossible to calm down and shortly after started laughing.

Jacques Arama Bubbles the 2015 WPTN London Accumulator

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Bubble Boy Jacques Arama
Bubble Boy Jacques Arama

Christopher Yong raised from the cutoff and called the all in of short stack Jacques Arama in the big blind. Once all other hands were completed, the cards were turned over.

Arama held the {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} and had two over cards to the {9-Spades} {7-Diamonds} of Yong. The {Q-Spades} {6-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} board provided the blow on the final community card and Arama was the last player to leave empty-handed.

Martin Kollmann
Martin Kollmann

Martin Kollmann was all in for his last 104,000 with {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} and got looked up by Lucio Pacifico with {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}. The Czech would spike a set on the {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} flop but the {8-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river gave Pacifico a flush and sent Kollmann out in 40th place.

Martin Spearing
Martin Spearing

Laurence Essa min-raised and then faced a massive three-bet shove of Martin Spearing for 570,000 chips. The sheer amount made Essa curios and he was trying to make any sense out of it. He eventually called with {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} and Spearing held {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}. The board ran out {8-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {5-Spades} {6-Spades} to bust Spearing in a pot of more than one million.
