Andjelko Andrejevic opened for 52,000 from first position and action quickly folded to big blind Joep van den Bijgaart who called.
Both checked on and the hit the turn. Van den Bijgaart bet out 78,000 and Andrejevic made the call. The hit the river to complete the board and Van den Bijgaart bet 183,000. Andrejevic tanked for quite some time, and eventually made the call.
Anthony Zinno made it 55,000 and action folded to Senh Ung in the small blind. Ung three bet to 137,000 and Zinno four bet to 275,000. Ung shoved all in for 507,000 and Zinno made the call.
From the cutoff Maikel Muis made it 52,000 and his neighbor Fernando Garcia called from the button. Joep van den Bijgaart called from the big blind and the three of them saw a flop of . Van den Bijgaart checked, Muis bet 110,000, Garcia called, and Van den Bijgaart folded.
The fell on the turn and Muis was in the tank on what to do while playing with his chips. Before he had announced anything, Garcia bet 126,000, thinking that Muis had checked.
Muis corrected the dealer and said that he hadn't checked just yet, but that he was ok with what had happened. "Ok,... then I'm all in!" said Muis. Garcia folded instantly.
Now the dealer gave the 126,000 bet back to Garcia who wasn't objecting.
Muis, Andrejevic and Van den Bijgaart objected and the floor came over to make a ruling. At first he ruled that Garcia got his bet back because he thought that Muis had changed the action by announcing the all in before he had committed to his check, but eventually he ruled that Muis' "Ok" was ruled a check, and he didn't change the action by shoving all in after.
Muis showed the , received the entire pot, and the dealer dealt the next hand.
Marcel Lüske, the godfather of poker in The Netherlands, has been eliminated.
A big blow to his stack was when he lost 318,000 to Emrah Cakmak in a pre flop all in. Cakmak had the while Lüske tabled . The board ran out and Lüske was down to 185,000.
The next hand, Lüske shoved all in and everyone folded, including big blind Van den Bijgaart who tanked a bit before mucking his cards.
One hand later, he wasn't so lucky. Action folded to Van den Bijgaart and he shoved all in from the small blind. Marcel Lüske made the call instantly.
Maikel Muis was first to act and made it 42,000. Action folded to Kees Alblas in the big blind and he opened his and announced all in right after for just about 80,000 or so. This caused quite a bit of consternation as especially Marcel Lüske objected to the course of action.
The tournament director came over and ruled that Muis had all the options, but this didn't tone down the conversation. Muis called with his and the dealer fanned to complete the hand.
While Muis received the chips, the conversation was still going on. Even when Alblas had already left the tournament room and was collecting his pay out of €12,050, Lüske and Muis were still having a heated debate about it.
Action folded to Manuel Bevand on the button and he moved in for 229,000. Small blind Tomas Fara asked for a count and then called. Anthony Zinno folded his big blind and it was time for the two to table their hand.
Tomas Fara:
Manuel Bevand:
The board ran out and besides the little tease that was the window card, no help for Bevand. Exit for the Frenchman, down to 13 players.
From first position it was Felipe Ramos opening for 45,000. His neighbor Arnaud Peyroles shoved for 242,000 and action folded back to the Brazlian initial raiser. He tanked for a bit before calling;
Felipe Ramos:
Arnaud Peyroles:
The flop came , giving Ramos top two and Peyroles a gutshot. The on the turn was a blank, and the on the river didn't change anything for Peyroles anymore either, besides the fact that he now had lost to a full house instead of two pair.
