Mundhra Cracks Aces to Bust Opponent

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The under the gun player opened to 600 and Sunil Mundhra three-bet to 1,800. It folded back to the initial raiser who four-bet to 5,200. Mundhra five-bet all in and his opponent called and was all in himself.

Sunil Mundhra: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
All-in Player: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Mundhra had run into the aces of his opponent who looked set for a double. However, the flop came {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} giving Mundhra a full house. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and the river the {9-Diamonds} and his opponent was eliminated early on Day 1b.

"That's called run good!" said one of Mundhra's tablemates.

Munsaf Hoping for Better Luck This Time

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Yesterday Meherzad Munsaf was the victim of two cruel pots. First he called bets on turn and river after having flopped two pair, only for his opponent to have flopped a better two pair.

Then, he got it in with ace-king on an {a-}{k-}{j-} board only for his opponent to show up with jacks!

Today he's back in the field and is seated at the same table as Manissha Lamba.

WPT India Main Event
WPT India Main Event

It's going to be a busy day here aboard the Deltin Royale for Day 1b of the WPT India Main Event. After 270 entrants yesterday, two flights today look likely to break the mark of 527 players set last year. And potentially before the Day 1c flight gets underway later this evening.

Yesterday just 85 players got through, with NJ Naranjan bagging close to 300,000. Joining him in Day 2 is bracelet winner Aditya Sushant and Adda52 Team Pro Amit Jain.

The cards are in the air from midday on Day 1b, with plenty of new players expected - as well as those re-entering after busting Day 1a. Players are allowed one entry per flight if needed, so anyone busting from Day 1b will look to enter Day 1c which has 20-minute levels.
