Oldak and Casano Bust, Hsissen Nears 200k

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mehdi Hsissen
Mehdi Hsissen

Already short stacked, Tony Oldak got it in on a {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} flop against Angie Cucchi. Oldak had {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but was trailing Cucchi's {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. The inferior kicker proved fatal to Oldak as neither the {10-Spades} turn nor {7-Clubs} river turned it around for him.

Oldak was joined on the rail by Fabrice Casano, who got his stack of around 13,000 in on a {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Casano tried to get there with the {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} but bricked on a {10-Spades}{8-Spades} runout. His opponent showed the winner with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} to rail Casano.

At another table, a player raised to 2,300 from the cutoff and Medhi Hsissen three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind. The cutoff four-bet shoved about 50,000 and Hsissen snapped it off with the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The cutoff ran into the dreaded setup with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and caught but one king on {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Broskij Delivers Death by Quads

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The new chipleader in this tournament listens to the name of Krijn Broskij. Despite registering late, the Moroccan has worked himself up to 220,000 in no time. In one of the biggest hands, Broskij flopped a set of eights on a {10-}{9-}{8-} flop. He got it in against {A-}{10-} and got a sweat on the {10-} turn.

Broskij ended all doubt on the {8-} river to deliver his opponent the infamous death by quads to soar to the top.

Anas Tadini Eliminated

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Anas Tadini
Anas Tadini

Bad news for all Anas Tadini fans out there: their champion has found his Waterloo in the 11th level of the day. Earlier, Tadini was able to make a comeback from a mere 1,000 in chips but this time, it was no dice for the flashy Moroccan.

Down to 18,000, Tadini, three-bet called all in with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and found himself in a dominated position against his opponent's {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board proved no help and the Tadini show will have to continue at another time.

Another Two to the Rail

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Players are slowly but surely dropping out in the penultimate level of the night and another two just departed. Mohammed Hakim was the first to go after running his {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} into the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} of "arce". The board came {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and he tapped the table in defeat.

At table 11, Mounim Kaddouri raised to 2,600 and Pim van Riet called. An unknown player showed in late position for 16,100, Kaddouri reshoved and Van Riet open-folded {A-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Kaddouri, who bubbled the High Roller yesterday, held {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and was up against his opponent's {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. The {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs} gave Kaddouri the queen he needed to rise to 70,000.
