Juan Munoz Eliminated in 22nd Place (35,000 MAD / €3,199)

Level 22 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Juan Munoz
Juan Munoz

In two steps, Juan Munoz lost his stack to end up in 22nd place. First, it was Marco Hernandez who was all in for 375,000 and Munoz tried to knock him out.

Marco Hernandez: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Juan Munoz: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The dealer spread out {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to leave Munoz behind with 120,000.

Seated in the big blind next, Munoz called all in after Sebastien Boyard had shoved from the small blind.

Sebastien Boyard: {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Juan Munoz: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Munoz was a favorite to get right back into it, but the {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs} proved unfortunate for him.

Four-Hand Penalty for Burban

Level 22 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Pierrick Burban raised to 35,000 and Jimmy Livramento three-bet to 95,000 from the cutoff. Burban thought about it and while in thought, pushed his stack slightly forward without crossing the imaginary line in the middle of the table. Other players picked this up and called the floor.

Burban was told his move would be considered as an angle shoot to gain information and that he'd likely receive a penalty after the hand. After half a minute, Burban shoved all in and Livramento snap-called.

Pierrick Burban: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Jimmy Livramento: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Burban remained best after the board ran out {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and received a four-hand penalty afterwards.

Jimmy Livramento Eliminated in 21st Place (35,000 MAD / €3,199)

Level 22 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jimmy Livramento
Jimmy Livramento

After losing the ace-queen against ace-king earlier, Jimmy Livramento shoved 250,000 from early position. From the blinds, Ricardo Hewitt snap-called all in for 175,000.

Ricardo Hewitt: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Jimmy Livramento: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Livramento was way behind and couldn't catch up on {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Left with 75,000, he posted the big blind and big blind ante. Jean Montury raised to 50,000 in middle position, Livramento splashed the few extra chips in and saw he was facing another round of bullets.

Jimmy Livramento: {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Jean Montury: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} board once again didn't deliver an aces cracker and Livramento, winner of the previous WPTDeepStacks event in Vilamoura, now finished in 21st place for 35,000 MAD.

Pierrick Burban

Back from his four-hand penalty, Pierrick Burban was active on a {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and called all in for 325,000 after Fabio Pinho Damaso had shoved.

Pierrick Burban: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Fabio Pinho Damaso: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Damaso was a mathematical favorite with the nut flush draw and overcards but whiffed the {5-Clubs} on the turn. He got there on the {J-Diamonds} river and Burban was out in 20th place.

In a button against big blind situation, Marco Hernandez four-bet shoved all in for around 500,000 and Abdullatif Attia called.

Marco Hernandez: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Abdullatif Attia: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Hernandez was all in and behind and couldn't catch up on a {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} board, ending his bid in 19th place.

Boubekeur Benhalima raised to 50,000 in middle position, Ricardo Hewitt three-bet shoved 315,000 on the button and Benhalima called after a brief pause.

Ricardo Hewitt: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Boubekeur Benhalima: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Hewitt had kicker issues and remained second best after the board brought {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to rail him in 18th. Hewitt explained after the hand he hadn't seen the raise from Benhalima.

Miracle Escape for Pecheur

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Earlier, David Pecheur chopped with pocket tens against two times ace-king when an eight-high straight hit the board. Then, he doubled up with ace-queen against king-queen and had 380,000.

After Abdullatif Attia had opened, Pecheur three-bet shoved from the big blind and Attia instantly called.

David Pecheur: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Abdullatif Attia: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

It was all but over after the {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, leaving only backdoor miracles for Pecheur. The {3-Clubs} on the turn opened up a flush draw for the Frenchman, and the {Q-Clubs} on the river completed the flush to give Pecheur a miraculous escape.
