Another Double for Mayeuski

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Robert Mayeuski was all-in with the KQ and up against Meng Wei Lin from under the gun with the AQ. The KK682 board left Lin with only a handful of chips and the big blind next.

Avi Cohen raised and Lin called all-in for 10,000 from the big blind.

Meng Wei Lin: K8
Avi Cohen: A9

The J42QK board delivered the king on the river.

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Upon completion of level 15, the Day 1c field has been cut down to only around 148 players and they have been sent on a scheduled 15-minute break during which the T-500 chips are raced off. Those are no longer needed for tonight, and nearly half of the remaining field will have to bust before a maximum of 75 players advance to the money stages.

Magic Turn for Mayeuski

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Robert Mayeuski
Robert Mayeuski

Robert Mayeuski was already all-in and awaiting his fate by the time the turn showed K745 on which Atsunobu Konishi forced out Avi Cohen with a shove.

Mayeuski tabled his 86 for the nut straight and Konishi revealed the AK. Cohen was happy that Konishi had not jammed preflop as he would have called and lost even before the 6 river completed the board.

Thiyam Singh raised to 10,000 and Fang Chen called in the next seat. Zhenxiang Lim then jammed for 69,000 and Lin-Chi Lu followed suit out of the small blind for more than 150,000. Singh moved all-in over the top and Chen folded.

Zhenxiang Lim: 1010 All in
Lin-Chi Lu: QQ All in
Thiyam Singh: AA

The 43269 board delivered no surprise and Singh jumped to a very healthy stack.
