Jeff Madsen Loses a Huge Pot

Jeff Madsen is down to only 8K in chips after losing a huge pot to 2006 WPT Legends of Poker runner-up Frankie O'Dell. O'Dell showed down the nut flush, while Madsen mucked his cards and pulled his Full Tilt cap over his eyes with a deep sigh.

Easy Come, Easy Go

Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly had not even stacked the chips from busting her most recent opponent, and was approaching the 90,000 chip mark when she decided to get involved with Daniel Alaei. After calling Daniel's pre flop raise of 800 chips, the flop comes {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Jennifer checks, and Daniel bets 1,600. Jennifer calls, and the turn is the {3-Clubs}. Jennifer checks, Daniel bets 3,400, and after a long think, Jennifer makes it 10,400. Daniel calls fairly quickly. The river is the {5-Hearts}. Jennifer checks, and Daniel bets 7,500. After a long think that includes looking under the table to watch Daniel's hands, Jennifer folds. Ms Tilly is still above 70,000, and cruising.

The Pace Has Slowed

Consultation with the Tournament Director confirms that the pace is running behind expectations. With 560 players remaining, we probably will not reach the hoped for 400 players tonight and therefore we can expect another long day tomorrow.

Lingering Ghosts

A surprising number of busted players have remained in the room and wander about chatting with buddies still playing. They apparently can't believe they are dead.
