Than Nguyen Doubles Up

With eight players at the table, Than Nguyen opened the pot with a raise to 8,000 from late position. Adam Geyer, who had Nguyen covered, called from his left in the cutoff. The remaining players folded and the flop came {Q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Nguyen acted first by betting 11,500. Geyer thought for almost a minute then quietly said, "All in." Nguyen immediately called and turned over his pocket fours showing bottom set. Geyer turned over {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and was drawing to runner-runner.

The turn and river were the {A-Hearts} and {J-Diamonds}, missing Geyer, and the dealer counted out Nguyen's remaining chips to match Geyer's stack. The new chip count shows Than Nguyen at 157,000 and Adam Geyer at 89,000.
