A Big Bad Blind Battle

Action passed around the table to the blinds where Allen Bari limped in for the extra half bet. In the big blind, Phillip Reed slid out a big gray stack of T5,000 chips for a total raise of 100,000. Bari quickly moved all in and Reed made the call, putting himself at risk of elimination.

"You got a pair?" asked Bari.

Showdown:
Bari: {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Reed: {A-Spades} {J-Spades}

Reed's overcards caught up on the flop of {J-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts}. The {A-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river kept him in the lead, and Reed earned himself a double up. When the chips were counted down, Reed had a total of 460,000, leaving Allen Bari with less than 40,000 funny money to play with.

Robert McLaughlin Doubles Through Brent Roberts

Under the gun, Brent Roberts raised to 48,000 and Robert McLaughlin reraised out of the small blind for an additional 125,000. The big blind folded and Brent immediately said, "All in," sending McLaughlin into the tank for his last 300,000. He decided to call and flipped over {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}, but was trailing Brent's {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}.

The flop came {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs} to keep Brent Roberts ahead, but the {9-Clubs} hit the turn and Robert McLaughlin took over the lead in the hand. The {7-Spades} river filled McLaughlin up as he now is sitting on a stack of nearly 1,000,000. Brent Roberts slips down to 760,000.

Tim Kelly Eliminated in 6th Place ($43,355)

Tim Kelly - 6th Place
Tim Kelly - 6th Place
Kyle Bowker opened the betting with a raise to 45,000. Action passed to Tim Kelly, and he moved all in for just over 120,000. Bowker called.

Showdown:
Bowker: {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}
Kelly: {A-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

Kelly found a pair on the flop of {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}, but he failed to improve further as the turn and river came {Q-Hearts} and {5-Hearts} respectively. With that, Tim "ttwist" Kelly becomes our 6th place finisher, pocketing more than $40,000 for his work over the last three days.

Bowker's Rockets Lift Off

Kyle Bowker came in under the gun with a raise to 45,000. Action passed to Allen Bari, and he announced a reraise to 120,000. Kyle Bowker then moved all in for a total of 364,000, and Bari made the call.

Showdown:
Bowker: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}
Bari: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}

The board was safe for the at-risk Bowker, rolling out {8-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {4-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. With that, Bowker takes down a nice double up, sitting now with more than 700,000.
