Tough Start for Little

According to Jonathan Little's Twitter stream, he picked up pocket aces on the second hand and lost 20 big blinds, then lost another 10 with pocket tens a few minutes later. He's down 70 more big blinds after an encounter with a pernicious draw.

Little, in late position, was one of three players to limp into the pot pre-flop. The big blind made a pot-sweetening raise to 300 that all limpers called. When the action checked to Little on an {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} flop, he bet 1,200. Only one player called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs}. Little's opponent checked and then called another bet for 2,000 chips. Both players shut it down on the {3-Spades} river. Little's opponent showed {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}, a flush draw that turned a pair of jacks. It was enough to win the pot when Little mucked.
