You Don't Become Champion By Folding

Justin Bonomo is the defending champion in this event and he's already started chipping up. After rivering an opponent in one hand for a small pot, Bonomo opened the next hand for 200 pre-flop from early position. He was called by two late-position players and both blinds.

The five-handed flop came down {2-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. The big blind led into Bonomo for 550, a bet Bonomo raised to 2,000. Everyone folded to the small blind (the same player Bonomo previously rivered), who cautiously called the 2,000. The big blind folded.

The turn was the {K-Hearts}. Bonomo's opponent checked, then folded to a bet of 4,500. "Nice hand," he said.
