Flowers for Lamb

With about 10,000 chips total in his stack and blinds at 400 and 800, it was go-time for Ben Lamb. He opened from under the gun for 5,000, drawing some laughs from his opponents. Action passed to Randal Flowers, who made a just-bigger-than-minimum three-bet to 9,300.

"I think my hand is still good, so I'm going to just call," said Lamb, leaving himself 700 behind. "And I check the flop dark."

"I also check the flop dark," said Flowers.

"Then I check the turn dark!" said Lamb with a laugh. By this point the dealer had produced a flop of {K-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}. Flowers responded by also checking the turn before the dealer burned and turned the {5-Diamonds}.

"I'm all in dark," said Lamb, splashing his last 700 into the pot. "I call dark," replied Flowers. The {7-Spades} hit and they went to showdown.

Lamb: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Flowers: {9-?} {9-?}

"What a sick cooler," said Flowers with a laugh. He paid off the 700 to double Lamb up to about 21,000.
