Carroll Gives Up on the River

In a battle of the blinds, James Carroll opened from the small blind for 40,000. Big blind Brock Parker called.

Each player checked the {6-Hearts} {6-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} flop. When a third six, {6-Clubs}, came on the turn, Carroll tried a bet of 60,000. Parker called without much deliberation.

On the river {A-Diamonds} Carroll checked. Parker bet 100,000, a bet that seemed to surprise and confuse Carroll. In the end he opted to muck his hand.
