The Final Four

With the last elimination, we are down to our last 36 players. Four tables of nine remain, and we will play on for another hour or until we lose nine more players.

Stout Gets Potter's Attention

Just before the break, an amusing situation happened over at Jason Potter’s table. Matt Stout was trying to get Potter’s attention, but Potter was not responding.

Stout: “Jay.”

No response.

Stout: “Jason.”

No response.

Stout: “Joseph.”

No response.

Stout: “Hey a**hole.”

Potter then looks around his chair, takes off his earphones, and says, “Ya.”

The table erupts in laughter.

Stout: “Oh. THAT’S what you respond to? I’ve been calling you several times, and you answer to “Hey a**hole.”

Potter smirked and said, “Did you need something?”

Stout: “Ya, I did. However, the entertainment value of this is MUCH more important than what I needed you for.”

Play Has Resumed

Players are now returning from their last break of the evening. 40 players are remaining in the field. We will play until 2 a.m. or until 27 players are reached.

Matt Drags in a Stout Pot

This hand occurred just before the break. A player in late position opened with a raise to 4,800, and action passed to Matt "Allinat420" Stout in the blinds. He scoped out his opponent's remaining stack before opting to call.

Heads up then, the flop rolled out {3-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}. Stout checked, and his opponent continued out with a bet of 8,400. Without too much delay, Stout check-raised it up to 24,200. A moment later, "All in," came from the other side of the table.

"Sh*t!" yelled Stout as he slid the rest of his chips forward, pot-committed to this hand.

Showdown:
Stout: {A-Spades} {8-Spades}
Opponent: {K-Clubs} {8-Hearts}

The table was giddy over all the action as they all sweated the final two cards. They showed up {9-Clubs} and {7-Diamonds} respectively, and Stout earns himself a huge double-up. After the chips were stacked, Stout is counted down at just over 110,000.

Gavin Smith Eliminates a Player

Preflop, Jordan Morgan raised to 4,500 and Gavin Smith called. Then a player to Smith's left moved all in for around 18,000 total. Smith insta-called.

Smith: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

Smith's opponent was far behind and he never gained any traction from there. The board ran {3-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} to send Smith's opponent to the rail.

Smith moved up to 120,000 after the hand.

Dina Done in by Dao

One of our six remaining women, Dina Rylander has just been eliminated. She was tangled up with David Dao on a king-high flop, and all of the chips went into the middle. When Rylander turned over her pocket aces, Dao said, "I knew that's what you had." Regardless of his read, he tabled {K-?} {Q-?} for top pair.

Much to Dina's dismay, the turn and river came {K-?} and {Q-?} respectively, improving Dao to a full house and sending the lady to the exit early.

After dragging that monstrous pot, David Dao has snagged the chip lead. He is way on top of the board now, sitting right at 240,000.
