Ali Out

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Tim West bumped it to 3,000 from the button only to have Brian Ali move all in from the small blind. Adam Hui isolated with a raise to 23,200 and West folded.

Ali: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Hui: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts} to see Ali bite the dust as Hui moved to roughly 120,000 in chips.

Ilich Forces Nguyen Out

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Drazen Ilich opened his button to 2,500 only to have Huy Nguyen three-bet the big blind to 6,800. Ilich made the call to see a {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop with Nguyen firing out 10,200.

Ilich responded with a dive deep into the tank before pushing all in for roughly 52,000 total. Nguyen folded and slipped to 85,000 as Ilich happily collected the pot to move to 80,000 in chips.

Hui Gets Some Moore

Adam Hui raised to about 3,000 from middle position and received a call from Charles "Woody" Moore in the hijack. The rest of the players got out of the way before the flop came down {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}, which both players checked.

When the {A-Spades} peeled off on the turn, Hui bet 3,700 and Moore quickly called, leading to the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Hui thought a moment, stacked some chips, and then fired out 1,2700. Moore didn't take quite as long before conceding the hand.

Cabrera Culled

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jesus Cabrera opened with a raise under the gun before calling the three-bet from La Sengphet.

Cabrera would then proceed to check-call all in on a {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, but would unfortunately find himself up against Sengphet's {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The turn and river landed the {4-Spades} and {K-Spades} to see Cabrera exit in 30th place as Sengphet moved to roughly 155,000 in chips.

Poche Takes Lead

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jonathon Poche fired out 4,700 on a {6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop before La Sengphet bumped it to 11,700.

Poche made the call before check-calling 18,600 when the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn as the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Poche checked and Sengphet pushed out 48,200 which Poche called.

"Good call!" announced Sengphet before Poche tabled his {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for top two pair as he captured the pot to move to 255,000 while Sengphet slipped to 110,000 in chips.

Unlucky River for Dwyte

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Peter Ippolito opened the button to 3,000 only to have Dwyte Pilgrim raise the action to 18,600 leaving himself just 200 behind.

Pilgrim and Ippolito committed the final 200 dark as Pilgrim's {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was in great shape against Ippolito's {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} to see the pot chopped up and pushed to both players.

Anderson Spikes to Stay Alive

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
James Anderson
James Anderson

Peter Mavro entered the pot from late position with a raise to 2,800 only to have James Anderson three-bet to 7,100 from the button.

With the action returning to Mavro, he went deep into the tank before moving all in for roughly 60,000. Anderson made the call for his tournament life and roughly last 30,000 as the cards were tabled.

Mavro: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Anderson: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

With a classic race situation at hand, the final board would be spread {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} to ensure Anderson the double to over 60,000 as Mavro slips to 28,000 in chips.
