Brown Headed Down

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Action was between the blinds, with Traci Brown being in the small blind. They had created a pot of about 6,000 as the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked as the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Diamonds}. Brown attempted to seize the pot with a 2,000 bet but the big blind came along for the ride.

When the {10-Spades} peeled off on the river, Brown checked, the big blind bet 3,500, and Brown folded. She is down to around 29,000.

Be-Jewell-ed

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Kurt Jewell is sitting with a nice stack of about 120,000. Part of that stack came when Jewell called an opponent's all in on a board of {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Jewell: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {5-Spades} river was safe for Jewell and he added some chips to his already large stack.

John Land

John Land raised to 2,400 from early position and was called by the players in the cutoff and big blind. When the flop fell {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, the big blind checked, Land bet 3,100, and both opponents folded. Land is sitting with around 30,000.

Pilgrim Sets Sail

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

We were looking forward to reporting some big hands involving Dwyte Pilgrim, perhaps the biggest name at the start of the day. Unfortunately, Pilgrim couldn't get much going throughout the day and he has been eliminated from the WSOPC Harrah's Tunica Main Event.

The Big Stack of Kats

Stephen Kats
Stephen Kats

As the tables break, players are shuffled about and we had lost track of Stephen Kats. We were worried he may have busted, but things couldn't be further from the truth. As it turns out, Kats is sitting in the far corner of the room. Not only that, he is sitting with what appears to be the biggest stack in the room, approximately 180,000. Needless to say, he is in good shape to make a deep run and add some points to his current total of 82.5.
