Friedman Busts and a Fight Almost Breaks Out

Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Adam Friedman had raised under the gun to what looked to be about 25,000. Charles "Woody" Moore was in the small blind and reraised 105,000 more. Friedman moved all in for 279,000 total and Moore called it off.

Moore held the dominated {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} to Friedman's {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

"I knew he was gonna overplay a hand," said Friedman, running around the table to tell his friend he was all in for 600,000 with ace-king versus ace-queen. Then, the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

"Ahhh, queen in the door! Obviously! I knew it, I knew I had no chance!" yelled Friedman.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Diamonds} to finish things off and official eliminate Friedman.

"I knew that guy was going to overplay a hand. He put in 300k with ace-queen, I knew he'd overplay something," Friedman went on to say. He then made his way back towards his seat and was mumbling something. We don't know exactly what was said, but did here the F-bomb dropped in there somewhere. Moore heard whatever it was Friedman said and sprung from his chair as though he was 20 years old and someone had just hit his girlfriend. He charged right into the face of Friedman and stopped inches away, yelling, "What did you just say to me! What'd you say!"

Friedman denied saying anything as the floor staff was not in the area at the time, but made their way there shortly. Moore got back into his seat and then Friedman made his way to the payout desk where he got his winnings. Moore now has over 600,000 and is up there towards the top of the pack.

Cole Ousted

Michael Cole
Michael Cole

Michael Cole raised all in from the cutoff seat for 88,000 and was called by Kenny Piel in the small blind. Piel held the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Cole was making a move at the pot preflop with the {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Fortunately for Cole, two more threes came on the flop of {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} to give him the lead. Unfortunately for Cole, the turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Diamonds} to give Piel a diamond flush and send Cole to the rail.

Ducks for Merwick

Jorge Solorzano raised to 32,000 from early-middle position and Joel Merwick called from the big blind to see the flop come down {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Both players checked and then also checked after the {9-Hearts} fell on the turn. The river was the {8-Spades} and both checked again.

Merwick tabled the {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Solorzano mucked his hand. Merwick is up to 450,000 now and Solorzano dropped back to 620,000.

Calenzo Eliminates McMahan

William McMahan was short stacked and moved all in for his last 45,000 under the gun. Kevin Calenzo made the call while everyone else folded.

Calenzo: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
McMahan: {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

It was off to the races as the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. McMahan picked up some outs but still needed to improve. He couldn't do it however as the {6-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river. He was eliminated from the tournament in 22nd place. Meanwhile, Calenzo has chipped up to 200,000.

No, You Don't Got Him

Garrett Utt
Garrett Utt

Action folded to Garrett Utt on the button and he moved all in for 132,000. Once the small blind got out of the way, Michael Cole snap-called from the big blind and tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. He stood up and said, "I got him!" to his railbirds Maurice Hawkins and Dwyte Pilgrim.

"Is it over?" asked Pilgrim. "You don't got him yet 'til it's over."

Utt held the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Pilgrim was right, it's not over until it's over.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Utt made a diamond flush to win the hand and double up. Cole was left with about 95,000 chips and a sick feeling in his gut.

Ilich Gives It Up

Kris Bradshaw raised to 20,000 from the small blind and Drazen Ilich called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} and there's wasn't too much multi-color there. Bradshaw led with a bet of 25,000 and Ilich made the call.

The turn card brought the {J-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {7-Spades} fall on the river. Bradshaw fired 45,000 and after tanking for a minute or two, Ilich folded and dropped back to 340,000 in chips.

Ilich Calls Twice, Then Shoves

From under the gun, Drazen Ilich raised to 18,000. John Alfera made the call from the next seat and the two players saw the flop come down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Ilich checked and Alfera fired 26,000. Ilich made the call.

The turn card brought the {J-Clubs} and Ilich checked again. Alfera fired 65,000. Ilich made the call.

The river card completed the board with the {3-Diamonds} and Ilich fired all in for about 135,000. Alfera quickly folded and the pot went Ilich's way.

Crowder Busted

Keith Crowder
Keith Crowder

From the button, Keith Crowder moved all in for roughly 92,000. Charles "Woody" Moore tank-called from the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Crowder: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Moore: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Crowder picked up a pair of tens, but Moore still had two overcards and now a flush draw.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and then the river completed the board with the {J-Diamonds}. Moore was able to win the hand with jacks and fours, eliminating Crowder in 23rd place. He'll add the $3,600 and change to his pocket and move onto the next event.
