Kevin Calenzo Eliminated in 2nd Place ($61,725)

Kevin Calenzo - 2nd Place

Back and Forth - 12: 10 AM

Action has been slow between our final two players. They've been sparring back and forth with the chip stacks changing very little. In a recent hand, Charles "Woody" Moore limped on the button and Kevin Calenzo raised 200,000 more from the big blind. Moore responded by reraising an additional 400,000, which drove Calenzo out of the hand.

Same Old Story - 12:20 AM

Charles "Woody" Moore once again limped on the button and Kevin Calenzo raised to 280,000. Moore called as the flop came down {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Calenzo led out for 260,000 and Moore mucked.

Kevin Calenzo Eliminated in 2nd Place ($61,725) - 12:25 AM

Per usual, Charles "Woody" Moore limped on the button and Kevin Calenzo raised to 285,000. Moore reraised to 685,000 and Calenzo announced, "All in."

"Call," Moore snapped and turned over {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Calenzo turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and it was off to the races. Both players realized the enormity of the hand. If Calenzo won he would take the chip lead for the first time. If Moore won it was all over.

The flop came down {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}, keeping Moore in the lead. The {10-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and all Moore needed to do was avoid an ace or king on the river. The dealer burned and put out the {Q-Clubs}. Calenzo became our second place finisher, earning 75 circuit points in the process (bringing his total to 115 and thrusting him toward the top of the National Leaderboard).
