Blind vs. Blind

Action folded to Steven Marshall in the small blind and he decided it was time to move all in for his last 115,000. Dale Hinson was in the big blind and obliged him with a call.

Hinson: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Marshall: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop solidified Marshall's lead and the {8-Clubs} on the turn ensured his double up to 244,000. Hinson was left with just 55,000 after the {Q-Diamonds} was put out on the river.

Bob Harris Eliminated in 15th Place ($5,840)

Action folded to Bob Harris on the button and he moved all in for his last 60,000 with {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Yair Alon called him from the small blind with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and the two watched the flop fall {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Spades}. Harris was in big trouble and needed running straight cards to stay alive. The {Q-Clubs} on the turn gave him hope, but the {K-Clubs} on the river quickly dashed it away. Alon took down the pot with his full house, increasing his stack to 245,000, while Harris was eliminated in 15th place.

Chip Counts at Dinner Break

David Barrow Eliminated in 16th Place ($4,891)

David Barrow was under the gun and moved all in for around 180,000. Action folded to Farid Nasserazad on the button and he made the call. After the blinds folded, the cards were turned up:

Nasserazad: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Barrow: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}

Nasserazad's big slick was in a commanding lead and stayed there as the board ran out {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs}. He is up to 940,000 while Barrow was eliminated in 16th place.

Cary Purcell Eliminated in 17th Place ($4,891)

Cary Purcell was under the gun and put in a raise. Action folded to Farid Nasserazad in the big blind who raised 60,000 more. Purcell moved all in and Nasserazad called off his stack for a total of 370,000.

Nasserazad: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Purcell: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Purcell was ahead but not after the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. The {Q-Clubs} on the turn and {8-Hearts} river gave Nasserazad a double to 750,000 and left Purcell with just 60,000. A few hands later, Purcell was eliminated at the hands of Travis Lutes.

T.J. Cloutier Eliminated in 18th Place ($4,891)

T.J. Cloutier raised under the gun and Will "Monkey" Souther called from the hijack. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Spades} and Cloutier bet 90,000. Souther made it 200,00 to go and Cloutier called.

The {Q-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Cloutier moved all in for his last 60,000. Souther called and showed {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} which was far ahead Cloutier's {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. In order to survive Cloutier needed a king on the river. Unfortunately for the Poker Hall of Famer, the river was the {3-Diamonds} and he was eliminated from the tournament in 18th place.
