Break It Up
It is time for yet another ten-minute break.
It is time for yet another ten-minute break.
An early-position player raised to 2,400 and Blair Hinkle called from middle position. A late-position player then reraised to 9,500 and only Hinkle made the call, leading to the flop.
Hinkle checked, his opponent bet 11,000, and Hinkle woke up with a check-raise to 23,400. After a call, the dealer burned and turned the . Hinkle was first to act and checked, opening the door for the late-position player to bet 17,000. Hinkle just mucked and left himself 31,000.
Action folded to Greg Raymer on the button and he promptly put in a raise to 3,000. The small blind quickly folded but the big blind decided to look the former world champ up. When the flop fell , the big blind check-called a continuation bet from Raymer to the tune of 4,000.
Both players then checked the turn and river. Raymer sheepishly turned over for a rivered pair of nines as the big blind simply mucked. Raymer is up to 70,000.
An under-the-gun player raised to 1,000 only to have Aaron Massey, who was next to act, reraise to 3,000. Another player in early position made it 8,000 to go and action folded all the way back to Massey, who made the call.
Both players checked the flop as well as the turn. When the hit the river, Massey bet 10,000, his opponent called, and Massey showed to take down the pot. He is up to 85,000.

We heard a commotion over at the table of Dennis Phillips. When we arrived, we saw the laid out in front of him, in front of his opponent, a board reading , and the dealer pushing Phillips a pot worth 118,000. By the smile on Phillips' face, he just doubled.
We didn't catch the hand, but the seat formerly occupied by Dwyte Pilgrim is empty. He was short-stacked, so logic would suggest that he has been eliminated from the Harrah's St. Louis Main Event.
It isn't much of a hand, but it was rather comical. A player raised to 3,300 and Shiva Dudani simply moved all in for 45,000. Of course his opponent folded, much to the amusement of everyone at the table.
