Cartwright Calls Steven's Five-Bet Shove

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Kyle Cartwright
Kyle Cartwright

Kyle Cartwright, the two-time WSOP-Circuit ring winner at Harrah's Tunica, called Brandon Steven's five-bet all in shove and the cards were turned up:

Steven: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Cartwright: {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

In all fairness, it didn't cost Cartwright much more to call, and he did catch some help on the {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop. He could now win with one of the two remaining queens. The {3-Diamonds} turn was not one of them, but the {Q-Spades} on the river was. Cartwright shot from his chair in excitement while Steven, who if you recall was the final table bubble boy in last years WSOP Main Event, hung his head in disbelief.

Steven was eliminated from the tournament in 31st place while Cartwright chipped up to 800,000!

Dahlberg and Massey Hit the Rail

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Aaron Massey
Aaron Massey

A short-stacked John Dahlberg was all in preflop from middle position holding {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} against the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Steve Goff. Dahlberg had kicked problems and was looking for an eight. Unfortunately for him, the board ran out {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and he was eliminated in 34th place.

A short time later, Aaron Massey moved all in from the cutoff for his last 18,000 or so holding {a-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and ran into the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} of Yury Parad. Massey was racing, but fell behind as the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. He was eliminated from the Main Event in 33rd place while Parad chipped up to 320,000.
