"Football!" "Bowling!" "Football!"

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In one of the more unusual player arguments we've heard, players were arguing over what they wanted on the TVs that are around the room. The vast majority of voices we heard were calling for the Eagles game to be put on the TV. But there was one, but very loud, supporter that wanted professional bowling to stay on the TV.

Floor staff changed the TVs to football for the overwhelming majority. One sad bowling fan will have to go without today.

On one of the first hands of the day over on Table 11, Steve Nooralian was all in and at risk against Mirza Nagji. The board was {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Nooralian turned over two queens, but they were drawing dead against Nagji's wired eights.

A meaningless {5-Diamonds} hit the river, and Nooralian headed for the exit.

"Who's next?" Nagji joked with the table.

Papola Lays it Down

The player in hijack opened for 2,000, the player in the cutoff called and Jeff Papola raised to 7,200 from the small blind. The player in the big blind then made it 12,500 to go. The two late position players released their hands and Papola called.

The flop came {J-Spades} {2-Spades} {K-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and Papola checked after a short pause. The big blind bet 17,000 and Papola shuffled his chips while he thought. He elected to let his hand go and is at 30,000.
