Gates Getting Stronger

Garry Gates opened to 110,000 from early position, Ryan Eriquezzo called from the cutoff, and the button and blinds released. The dealer fanned {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, and Gates checked to Eriquezzo, who fired 125,000. Gates called.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, and Gates checked again. Eriquezzo fired a second bullet - this one was worth 245,000 - and Gates quickly called.

The river was another ten - the {10-Hearts} - and Gates checked a third time. Eriquezzo unhappily checked behind, and Gates turned over {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Eriquezzo flicked his cards into the muck, and Gates raked in the million-chip pot.

Erickson Shows After He Declined

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Eugene Fouksman opened for 105,00 and Troy Erickson called from the big blind. The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {6-Spades} and both players checked. The turn came {2-Diamonds} and Erickson bet 105,000. Fouksman called to see the {9-Clubs} river. Erickson moved all in for 440,000 and Fouksman wasn't sure what to do.

"Show me if I fold?" Fouksman asked.

Erickson shook his head no and didn't say anything. Fouksman folded after a couple moments and Erickson showed {K-Spades} {6-Clubs}.

Yet Another Double

Troy Erickson open-jammed his last 260,000 from middle position, and David Zeitlin looked him up from the big blind.

Showdown

Erickson{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Zeitlin{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The rail was begging for a sweat, and the {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Spades} provided one.

"Half way there," Ryan Higgins joked.

"Half way" was as far as Zeitlin would go however, because the turn ({q-Clubs}) and the river ({4-Spades}) were both bricks, and Erickson doubled to 540,000 chips.

Gates Is Playing Poker

Level 29 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Garry Gates is playing the game, not the cards.
Garry Gates is playing the game, not the cards.

Ryan Eriquezzo opened the hand with a raise to 105,000 and David Zeitlin raised to 245,000 behind him. Action folded around to Gates in the big blind and after a thoughtful pause and long look at his cards he announced all in. Eriquezzo folded quickly and Zeitlin re-checked his cards, folded and said, "Nice hand."

Gates threw his cards face up on the table so they could see his...

{J-Clubs} {4-Hearts}!

Higgins' Turn to Double

Ryan Higgins opened to 110,000 from the button, Ryan Eriquezzo three-bet to well over 200,000 from the small blind, and Higgins four-bet shoved for 830,000. Eriquezzo called.

Showdown

Higgins{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Eriquezzo{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Higgins' tens held as the board ran {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, making this the seventh straight double since Tyler Kenney's elimination.

Massive Double for Zeitlin

Ryan Higgins opened to 90,000 from the button, Ryan Eriquezzo folded in the small blind, and David Zeitlin three-bet to 255,000 from the big blind. Higgins tank-called.

The dealer fanned {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and Zeitlin moved all in. Higgins thought for a bit, counted his stack, then called.

Showdown

Zeitlin{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Higgins{10-Spades}{9-Spades}

"Four of hearts!" Josh Brikis yelled from the rail.

The dealer obliged, turning the {4-Hearts} on the turn. The rail laughed, and began calling for another {4-Hearts} on the river. It was not, rather it was the {6-Diamonds}, doubling Zeitlin to over one million chips.
