Poker is a game that can give you both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Unfortunately for Brett Schwertley, he knows that all too well right now, as he has been eliminated after two brutal suckouts in the last 20 minutes.
On the first hand, we caught the action on a flop of . There was 120,000 in the pot, and Schwertley led out for 82,000. Sam McGrath was his lone opponent, and he elected to make the call. The turn brought the , and Schwertley checked. McGrath announced a bet of 120,000, leaving himself just over 140,000 behind. Schwertley announced all in having him covered, and McGrath called. The cards were flipped, and it was a classic cooler.

Schwertley had turned the nut flush, but he needed to dodge the board pairing to win the hand. He couldn't do it, as the river came the . That knocked him down to 150,000.
He hung around for about 15 minutes before sticking the rest of his chips in. McGrath raised it to 31,000 under the gun, and James Mordue made the call. Schwertley was next to act, and he went all in for 133,000 more. McGrath folded, but Mordue called. The cards were tabled, and Schwertley was once again way ahead.

The flop was safe for Schwertley, coming . The turn came the , giving Mordue flush draw outs. He wouldn't hit the flush on the river, but he did hit the to give him a full house and end Schwertley's day in brutal fashion.

From second position, Jonas Mackoff raised to 28,000 and he was called by Jeff Fielder next to act. Action folded around to the big blind, Jeff Madsen, and he reraised to 114,000. Mackoff sat silent and emotionless for about a minute before stacking out 240,000 and sliding it forward.
Fielder folded and it was Madsen's turn to sit quietly. Eventually he announced that he was all in and Mackoff quickly let go of his hand.
Just one hand later, Madsen three-bet the raise of Joshua Pollock and got him to fold as well.

Fresh off his new table change, Jeff Madsen jumped right into the action, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out too well for him. Jonas Mackoff raised under the gun to 28,000, and it folded all the way around to Madsen in the small blind. He announced all in, and as soon as the big blind folded, Mackoff tosses his chips in, and immediately flipped over . Madsen tabled , and would need alot of help to win the hand.

Brandon Riha has been opening consistently with min-raises and so far, is playing table captain.
He just raised from middle position to 24,000 and was called by Dutch Boyd in the small blind and Ian Mack in the big blind. The flop was and all three players checked. The turn was the and Boyd checked again. Mack fired 43,000 and Riha was the only caller.
The river was the and almost immediately Mack gave out a loud and almost over-the-top sigh before slapping the table rather hard. Riha raised an eyebrow and checked. Mack tabled for broadway and said, "Eh, you weren't calling anyway."
Riha just smirked and replied, "I had a good hand."
