Bowen has been a virtual cashing machine here in St. Louis, which has complimented her Circuit résumé nicely. We're sure we'll see more of her in the very near future.
A short-stacked Steve Melton moved all in under the gun for his last 38,000 with only to run into two other players who got into a raising war with and . Long story short, the pocket tens ended up winning and Melton ended up finishing in 33rd place for $4,438.
David Davenport opened from the cutoff for 22,000 and Chris Conrad popped it to 54,000 from the small blind. Davenport called and the flop rolled out . Conrad led out with 44,000 but Davenport tried to take the offensive with re-raising to 125,000.
Conrad thought for a moment and shoved for a total of 301,000. Davenport tanked for short while, asking himself aloud, "Can I get away from this hand?"
He couldn't and called, having Conrad covered.
