Alex Masek open shoved all in in middle position for 170,000 even, and action was folded to Tsung Lu on the button, who asked for a count, then slammed his cards into the muck, clearly wanting to play. The small blind folded, and John Villanueva asked for a count in the big blind. When he found out the total, he made the call. The cards were flipped, and we were off to the races.
Alex Masek:
Villanueva:
The flop came out , and Masek jumped way out in front. The turn brought the , and Villanueva would need to hit a two outer to win the hand. He would not, as the river came the , giving Masek an unnecessary two pair. Masek doubled to 350,000, while Villanueva dropped to below 250,000.
We were typing up other hands when we heard all in and call from the feature table. We went over to see what was happening, and we saw that David Miscikowski was all in preflop and well behind Artin Faroukhians.
Faroukhians:
Miscikowski:
The flop gave no help to Miscikowski, coming . Miscikowski stood up and started to gather his things, but was given new life when the slammed on the turn, giving him a full house. Faroukhians would need one of the two remaining aces in the deck to come back, but he wouldn't get it, as the river came the . Miscikowski doubled to 450,000, while Faroukhians is knocked down to under 100,000.
Vince Cardella calling on a draw and then playing it safe.
Alex Masek opened from under the gun to 33,000 and Vince Cardella called behind. The blinds released and the flop came . Masek led with 48,000 and Cardella called to see the turn. Masek put out 72,000 and Cardella called a second time. The river brought the and Masek bet 80,000. Cardella had just over 200,00 in front of him and took several moments before calling.
Masek turned up for the jack high straight and Cardella turned up for the rivered king high straight.
Louis Lo opened the action in middle position by raising to 36,000. Action folded all the way to Julie Franks in the small blind, and she made the call. Leroy Spires also came along, and the three saw a flop.
The flop came out , and Franks checked to Spires, who threw out three brown T25,000 chips, for a 75,000 bet. Lo thought for just a few moments before cutting out a raise to 155,000. Franks quickly ducked out of the way, and Spires quickly called .The turn came the , and Spires again wasted little time in firing out a big bet. This time, it was 300,000, which represented most of Lo's stack. Lo tanked for about a minute, before reluctantly folding his hand. Lo is down to under 400,000, while Spires is holding firm in second places with over 1.2 million.
We heard the cry of all in and call from the feature table, so we went over to investigate. We saw that Brian Yoon was all in preflop for 225,000 and well ahead of David Miscikowski
Yoon:
Miscikowski:
The flop came out , and while Yoon was still ahead, it did give Miscikowski extra outs for the straight. The on the turn kept Yoon in front, and the river came the . Yoon and Miscikowski essentially swap stacks, as Yoon is up to 450,000, while Miscikowski slips to just under 200,000.
Wow. Well that didn't take long. It was the second hand of play, and while we were still organizing everything, we were called over to the table, hearing that two players were all in! When we got there, we saw that Chris Summers had come in for a raise, and Cy Williams had shoved his short stack all in in the cutoff. The next player to act was Freddy Deeb on the button, and he announced himself all in for 451,000! The blinds folded, and it came back to Summers, who took little time in calling to put both of them at risk!
Summers:
Williams:
Deeb:
Deeb and Summers were flipping for a ton of chips, while Williams would need a ton of help to survive. The flop was a monster for Deeb, as it came , giving Deeb top set. The turn came the , giving everyone outs for the win. However, the river came the , filling Deeb up and giving him the win. Deeb not only doubled up, but eliminated Williams in the process, and just like that, Deeb is a part of the million chip club!
