Grimes Goes Up, Overton Down

Aaron Overton has had a rough start to Day 3, having quickly slipped from the upper reaches of the chip counts to the lower division.

Just now Terry Grimes opened for 35,000 from the button and got a single caller in Aaron Overton from the small blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Overton checked, and Grimes responded with an all-in push for 348,000.

Overton tanked for some time, then finally called Grimes's shove, tabling {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the open-ender. Grimes turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}, and when the turn came the {Q-Diamonds} and river the {7-Diamonds}, Grimes survived with a big double up while Overton tumbled further.
