Bowker Busts One

A player in middle position opened to 1,300 and Kyle Bowker called from the cutoff. The player in the big blind three-bet shoved for about 6,000, forcing a fold from the midde-position raiser. Bowker called and tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, leading his opponent's {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The board fell {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, giving the pot to Bowker with his pair of tens.

Bump for Brikis

A player raised to 900 from middle position, and Josh Brikis called from a couple of seats over. The flop came {2-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Brikis's opponent continued with a bet of 1,300. Brikis called. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and another leading bet — this time for 2,700 — and Brikis called once more.

The river was the {4-Spades}, and this time both players checked. Brikis tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and his opponent mucked.

Andrews Takes a Hit

Picking up the action on an {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Hearts} board, Cherish Andrews was faced with a decision for most of her stack. Her opponent was all in for 7,825 and after a little bit of time in the tank, Andrews called.

Her opponent turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a full house and Andrew sent her cards to muck. That knocked her down to about 1,600, but she managed to double up shortly therafter.

Chipping Up

Raising Ramdin

Victor Ramdin of nearby New York is here, having taken his seat not too long ago. And he's already begun building upon his 20,000-chip starting stack.

Just now we caught him raising another hand from the cutoff, this time to 675, and getting two callers from the button and small blind. The flop came {6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and when checked to Ramdin bet 750 and just the small blind stuck around. Both then checked down the {J-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river, and when Ramdin's opponent turned over {6-Spades}{4-Hearts} for sixes and jacks, Ramdin mucked.

After that small hit, Ramdin still has about 32,000.
