Day 3 of the 2011-2012 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event here at the Horseshoe Hammond Casino is set to start at 1 p.m. local time. Of the 1,536 players that entered, only 29 remain.
All of the players returning on day 29 are guaranteed to win a minimum of $10,875, but certainly all of them are gunning for the top prize of $385,909, the gold ring, and a seat in the Southern Comfort 100 Proof World Series of Poker National Championship at Harrah's New Orleans.
Claudia Crawford leads the remaining 29 players with 3.426 million chips, which is more than three times the average stack. Her next closest competitors are Brad Albrinck (2.71 million), Josh Williams (1.95 million), and Sean Szurko (1.92 million) - every other player has less than 1.7 million chips.
