Weaver Takes a Few

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Weinman and Ray Weaver together reached a flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and Weaver check-called a bet of 32,000 from Weinman. The turn was the {10-Spades}, and both checked.

The river brought the {J-Diamonds}, and as he contemplated what to do Weaver drummed the felt in front of himself with both hands. The action was interpreted as a check, and Weinman then checked behind, tabling his {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair.

Weaver was a little confused, not realizing his action had been seen as a check and showing that he'd meant to bet on fifth street. But he understood, turning over his {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a straight to collect the small pot.
