Pavlin Karakikov Eliminated in 10th Place ($30,785)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Max Steinberg opened to 30,000 in the cutoff, Pavlin Karakikov moved all in for 150,000 from the small blind, and Steinberg tank-called.

Steinberg: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Karakikov: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Karakikov was in great shape to double, and remained ahead after the flop fell {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Karakikov held a higher diamond than Steinberg, and Steinberg could no long hit a pair of aces using the {a-Diamonds}.

The dealer rapped the table, burned a card, then delivered the {k-Clubs} on the turn. Suddenly, Steinberg was ahead with Broadway, and it was Karakikov who needed the board to pair or the river to produce a fourth diamond.

Neither occurred as the {3-Clubs} completed the board, and Karakikov was eliminated in 10th place. The remaining nine players will not combine to make the unofficial final table.
