Clinkscales Cracks Kings to Double Huge

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The big hands aren't stopping here at the Harrah's Philadelphia Main Event final table.

After a series of raises, Rex Clinkscales was all in before the flop holding {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Unfortunately for the circuit grinder, Ken Silberstein had once again picked up a big hand with {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

"Now I'm using MY one time," said Clinkscales in reply to Silberstein's earlier statement.

This sentiment seemed to work, as the {Q-Spades} was in the window to give Clinkscales a set of queens. The {5-Hearts} and {2-Clubs} followed as the rest of the flop. Fourth and fifth street brought the {7-Spades} and {5-Clubs} and suddenly Clinkscales was scooping up a huge pot. He's now sitting on about 1.18 million.

Jonas Wexler Eliminated in 8th Place ($14,258)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The recently crippled Jonas Wexler moved his last 58,000 in before the flop. Fittingly enough, it was Ken Silberstein who put the nail in the coffin.

Wexler had a bit of hope as his {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} was racing against Silberstein's {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. However, the board of {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} sealed Wexler's fate as our eighth place finisher. He will collect $14,258 in prize money.

Three Hands in a Row with Big Pocket Pairs; Palermo Doubles Back

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

As if the madness of the past two hands wasn't enough, more huge pocket pairs were present in this hand. Andrew Rudnik opened with a preflop raise and Leonardo Palermo moved all in. Rudnik called to find that he was behind.

Rudnik: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Palermo: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

A run out of {J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} secured a double for the recently crippled Palermo. Rudnik has fallen to 285,000 in chips.

Silberstein Doubles Again The Very Next Hand

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Wow. Ken Silberstein has doubled up two straight hands in a row.

Fresh off of his double from Jonas Wexler, Silberstein three-bet out of the small blind after Leonardo Palmero opened with a raise. Palmero four-bet to an unknown amount and Silberstein came right back over the top all in for 1.189 million. Palmero called.

Palermo: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Silberstein: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The table was astounded at Silberstein's aces followed immediately after his kings. Players stood up and walked around and the crowd went nuts.

"I'm going to use my one time RIGHT now," exclaimed Silberstein.

The dealer fanned {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts} on the felt and Silberstein retained his lead. Palermo picked up and open-ended straight draw on the turn when the {10-Spades} hit, but could not hit any of his outs as the {4-Hearts} finished off the board.

In just two hands last year's runner-up has become our new chip leader with about 2.4 million. Palermo, on the other hand, has been crippled.

Silberstein Doubles Huge; Cripples Wexler

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded to Jonas Wexler's small blind. He completed and Ken Silberstein raised to 50,000 from the big blind. Wexler said that he was all in and Silberstein snapped him off.

Wexler: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Silberstein: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

At the sight of Wexler's ace, Silberstein immediately dashed out of the tournament area. The dealer spread out {10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Silberstein flopped top set. The {7-Hearts} came out on the turn and Silberstein clinched his grip on the hand.

"You're good, Ken" someone yelled as he walked back in the tournament area.

The dealer dealt the meaningless {J-Spades} on the river and Mike Jukich and Rex Clinkscales let out yells as if something crazy happened in an effort to trick Silberstein.

"I don't believe you!" Silberstein said with a grin as he walked back into the tournament area. He now has about 1.19 million in chips.

Natale Doubles Through Jukich

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mike Jukich opened with a raise to 40,000 and it folded around to Tony Natale who moved all in over the top. Jukich called and the hands were revealed.

Jukich: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Natale: {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board came {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Natale was able to spike the ten to double to around 570,000. Jukich, on the other hand, has fallen to about 1.4 million.

Beverly Cheney Eliminated in 9th Place ($11,383)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Beverly Cheney moved her short stack all in from middle position and had Rex Clinkscales three-bet ship his stack all in over the top. The blinds folded and the cards were shown.

Clinkscales: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Cheney: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Cheney was absolutely crushed but found a glint of hope on the {2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop.

"It's never easy," someone chimed in from the crowd.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Cheney was looking for one more club on the river to stay alive. It was not meant to be, however, as the {k-Diamonds} hit the felt and she became the first casualty of our final table. She will collect $11,383 in prize money.
