Jukich On Fire; Busts Pileggi

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The board read {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Hearts} and we found Mike Jukich announce all in which was a bet for Larry Pileggi's life. Pileggi had about 420,000 behind and pondered for a moment.

"I call," Pileggi said quietly.

Jukich showed {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a set of fours and was winning over the {A-Hearts}{k-Spades} of Pileggi. The {8-Hearts} finished off the board and Pileggi was eliminated in 19th place. His elimination prompts a total re-draw for the final two tables.

Waaland Eliminated in Sick Runout

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Cory Waaland moved all in before the flop and Tony Natal moved all in over the top of him. The rest of the table folded and the hands were tabled:

Waaland: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Natal: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

Waaland found glory on the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{Q-Spades} flop by hitting his set and taking the lead in the hand. He thought he was looking to dodge a jack so Natal wouldn't make Broadway and the {Q-Hearts} giving him a full house on the turn just about sealed a double up.

The river, however, was the brutal {Q-Diamonds}, putting three queens on the board and giving Natal a better full house of queens over aces to queens over tens. Waaland was sent packing and Natal is now up over 445,000 in chips.

Much Ido About Nothing

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {4-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Ido Ashkenazi was moved all in by Mike Jukich. Ashkenazi called and the hands were tabled:

Ashkenazi: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Jukich: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Jukich was in the lead with his pair of fours thought Ashkenazi had the better heart draw. The fours held as the best hand, though as the {2-Clubs} turned and the {7-Diamonds} rivered. Ashkenazi was sent home while Jukich increased his stack to about 590,000.

Glantz and Christopher Eliminated; Wexler Over 1.3 Million

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Wow. Just wow.

A massive confrontation just happened that saw the demise of Matt Glantz and Tom Christopher at the hands of Jonas Wexler.

Glantz opened with a preflop raise and Christopher flatted from the cutoff. It folded to Wexler's small blind and he made it 43,000. Glantz four-bet shipped all in for about 180,000 and Christopher instantly flat called. Action was back on Wexler and he announced that he was all in over the top which was actually a bet for Christopher's life. He called and the hands were tabled.

Wexler: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Christopher: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Glantz: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The flop was relatively tame as it brought {5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} but the {9-Spades} on the turn gave Christopher outs to make a spade flush. The board finished quickly with the {2-Hearts}, though, and Wexler jumped into the air in jubilation. His elimination of two players has put the field into a total re-draw for the final three tables.

Wexler is now the overwhelming chip lead with about 1.37 million in chips.
