Rudnik Doubles

Level 19 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Andrew Rudnik was put all in before the flop and snapped off his opponent. Rudnik showed {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and was way ahead of his opponent's {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The board dropped down {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and Rudnik was able to secure a double to around 210,000 in chips.

Akimov Busts; We're In The Money!

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Akim Akimov was all in for his last 77,000 before the flop when we came to the table. Tom Christopher was pondering his action and eventually decided to call.

Akimov: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Christopher: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The two were racing for Akimov's tournament life heading to the flop. The dealer fanned {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} on the felt and suddenly it looked bleak for Akimov. The {6-Clubs} turned and Akimov was left hoping to spike an eight on the river. Alas, the dealer produced the {J-Clubs} and Akimov's fate was sealed as our bubble boy.

Every remaining player is now guaranteed at least $2,722 in tournament winnings.

Chip Counts

Good Friday

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Patrick Friday has just vaulted into one of the top chip positions. We arrived at the table after the action had been completed, but Friday held {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} before the flop in a confrontation with two other players.

Friday eliminated a player holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} while at the same time being able to double through another player who held {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Friday's all in was for 149,500.

Glantz Doubles

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We missed the action but can report that Matt Glantz has doubled up. Glantz was all in and at risk before the flop holding {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} against an opponent's {K-}{K-}.

The flop was dry for Glantz when it brought {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} but he struck gold with a two outer on the turn. The {10-Hearts} gave him a set and he was ensured a double up when the {5-Diamonds} finished off the board on the river.

One For Taylor

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Michael Taylor had the button and he opened to 10,000. The player in the big blind called and the flop brought {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The action went check-check and the {K-Clubs} dropped down on the turn. Taylor's opponent led for 11,000 and Taylor stuck around. Both players checked once more after the {K-Diamonds} paired the board on the river.

Taylor showed {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for kings and fives and it was good against his opponent's {J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Taylor raked in the pot and is now at 155,000 in chips.
