Johnny Hansen Eliminated
Johnny Hansen Eliminated

It took two more hands for Ronald van de Linde to get the rest of Johnny Hansen's stack. In the first hand, Van de Linde doubled Hansen up to 9,000 by losing {A-}{K-} versus {5-}{5-}.

The next hand, Van de Linde got it again versus Hansen with {A-Spades}{7-Spades} on a board that contained two spades. Hansen held {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for a lower flush draw. The board bricked and Hansen was eliminated.

Johnny Hansen At Last Year's Final Table

Johnny Hansen raised to 600 in early position. Ronald van de Linde three-bet to 2,200 on the button, Hansen four-bet to 6,100 and Van de Linde called.

The flop was {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Hansen quickly fired 5,600. Van de Linde made the call in position. The turn brought the {6-Clubs} and Hansen immediately moved all in for 16,000. Van de Linde gave it a few seconds of thought, then called it off for nearly the same amount.

Johnny Hansen: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ronald van de Linde: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Hansen needed to hit a flush on the river, but the {4-Hearts} was a brick. The Dane, who finished 3rd in last year's Main Event, had to part with over 95% of his stack. In the next hand, Hansen was all in and tripled up to 3,000.

Ilie Smintance-Januzewski, Yesterday's iPhone Winner
Ilie Smintance-Januzewski, Yesterday's iPhone Winner

Yesterday, Ilie Smintance-Januzewski received a brand new iPhone 6s for hitting a Royal Flush, courtesy of 888 Poker. Today, Erik Sturkenboom accomplished the same feat in the first level of play. The Dutchman happily called over the 888 Poker desk to receive a flashy phone as well.

Unfortunately for Sturkenboom, there was only one iPhone being handed out this event. The Dutchman received nothing more than a pat on the back and a few chips for hitting his Royal.
