Fernandez Busts to Dedusha

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Artan Dedusha
Artan Dedusha

On the way out of the tournament area, Francisco Fernandez confirmed that he had been eliminated. The Spaniard raised to 1,500 from under the gun and picked up three callers including Artan Dedusha in the small blind to see the latter bet a {10-}{8-}{2-} rainbow flop for 2,700. Fernandez pushed for 13,000 with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Dedusha eventually called with {K-}{10-} for top pair to spike another 10 on the river.

Two other Spaniards are doing much better at the moment, as Jose Ponce and Pedro Lamarca are among the big stacks. Lamarca had just had top pair paid off for 9,900 on the river of a board {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. His opponent in the big blind reluctantly called and mucked as soon as Lamarca flipped over {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Dzmitry Rabotkin was all in for just 8,000 with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and lost a flip against {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} on the board of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}. While returning with a new ticket in the hand and approaching the tournament director, Boris Kuzmanovic was already waiting there and said "another re-entry please" with a ticket in hand as well.

Sultanem Doubles to Starting Stack

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

After a raise and a three-bet by Antoine Profit to 2,400. Georges Sultanem moved all in for 13,700 and the initial raiser reshoved to force out Profit. Sultanem won the flip with {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} versus {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} thanks to a board of {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} while Profit sighed and would have likely had both opponents beat.

Profit remains one of the biggest stacks, though, and moved to almost five times the starting stack.

Wasek Among Biggest Stacks; Greko Done

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Gregor Greko
Gregor Greko

On the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, big stack Lukasz Wasek checked out of the big blind and called a bet of 1,300 by Irakli Kutchava before the duo checked the {A-Clubs} turn. After the {6-Spades} river, Wasek moved all in and Kutchava tanked for two minutes before folding. Wasek's brother Artur is also in the field today, but Lukasz has the far superior stack at the moment.

One table over, there were some 10,000 in the pot and the board showed {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Michael Hoch checked and Gregor Greko bet 8,000 with about as much behind. Table talk emerged between the two of them and Hoch eventually raised to 20,000, Greko called all in for 18,000.

Hoch turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Greko could all but laugh. "I never gave you such a strong hand," he said and flipped over his {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The {3-Spades} river was no help for Greko and he was eliminated. "I would have folded the aces if I didn't have the heart," Hoch said in table chat and the same table also features Rainer Ziermann and Peter Siemund.

Neuville Runs Into Aces

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

There was a raise to 1,200 from the hijack and Pierre Neuville called from the cutoff. Andrej Cintula three-bet to 4,300 from the big blind only to have the original raiser four-bet to 9,200. Neuville was on the short stack and stuck the rest of his chips in the middle for a total of 14,900. Cintula raised again to 49,300 and the player in middle position folded.

The two remaining hands were tabled and Neuville was in trouble. Cintula turned over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Neuville had {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Cintula's aces held up to eliminate Neuville.

Dubinchuk Busts to Lykov

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Maxim Lykov
Maxim Lykov

Maxim Lykov's raise was met by a three-bet to 4,000 by Iaroslav Dubinchuk in the big blind and Lykov called. After the flop of {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Dubinchuk continued for 3,600 and was called before moving all in for 14,375. There were as many chips in the pot and Lykov reluctantly called, Sebastian Langrock also confirmed that Dubinchuk had three-bet for the first time on their table.

Iaroslav Dubinchuk: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Maxim Lykov: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts} on the river was of no help for Dubinchuk and Lykov boosted his stack to more than 100,000.
