Kensmil Gets There

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Ali Alawadhi checked and Leonard Kensmil bet 2,500. Without hesitation, Alawadhi check-raised to 5,200. Kensmil briefly paused before committing the calling chips.

Alawadhi continued his instant decision making on the {J-Hearts} turn, this time by directly checking. Kensmil appeared a bit confused by his opponent's antics and elected to check behind.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and the American instantly acted a third time. He took one of every chip-denomination - totalling 6,625 - and flung it in the middle.

"So sick. Sick dealer", Kensmil laughed.

"Ok, I call", the Frenchman added seconds later.

"Two pair", Alawadhi said, showing {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Kensmil quickly showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for the rivered straight and took down the pot.

Kalidou Sow All-In

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

One of the more dangerous players in the field is Kalidou Saw. The Frenchman has raked in over $300,000 in his poker career, including a third place in the 2015 FPS Main Event in Deauville (€72,000).

Today, things haven't been working out for Sow yet. Being down to his last 15,000 in chips, the Frenchman moved in on a board of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. His opponent Imad Derwiche considered a call, but instead folded and fist-bumped his opponent to compliment him.

Setback for Guyon

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Laurent Guyon ran up his stack quickly in the early stages, but just had to suffer a setback that put him back near the starting stack. On a board of {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, Guyon check-called a river bet of 6,000 from Cheng Li in an already sizable pot.

His opponent tabled {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the rivered straight and the winner. With a sigh, Guyon flung his hand in the muck.

Matta Not Backing Down

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, no less than four players put in a bet of 2,500 each to see the {7-Spades} on the turn appear. Action was checked to Ralph Matta, who fired a hefty 10,500.

All three other players elected to give it up, including Sarah Herzali. Matta tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and raked in a nice pot.
