Roman Wieczorek Shoves

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

There was a raise from under the gun and it folded round to Roman Wieczorek who opted to three-bet. Action was then on the player in the small blind who four-bet to 32,500.

The original raiser folded and when it got back round to Wieczorek he moved all in for close to 150,000.

Clearly not the result the small blind wanted as he gave it a couple minutes of hard thought before letting his hand go.

Matthias De Meulder vs Krijn Broskij

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Krijn Broskij raised to 3,600 from under the gun and Matthias De Meulder called from the cutoff, as did the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and it chceked to De Meulder who bet 4,500. The big blind folded and Broskij called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and again it checked to De Meulder who bet 12,500. Broskij called.

On the river, which was the {a-Hearts} Broskij opted to lead for 26,000 and De Meulder folded.

Lambros Vrakas Regains Overall Chiplead

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a quick swoop of the tournament floor we checked in on Day 1a chipleader Lambros Vrakas.

"Excuse me Sir," asked the player seated to Vrakas' direct right, "Could you call the police? This man is stealing all of our blinds," he said pointing towards Vrakas.

The Greek player now sits on well over 300,000 chips and is probably the chip leader in the room right now, although he will be closely followed by Marian Flesar and Ngoc Bui Hai

Martin Kabrhel Back In

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Martin Kabrhel, fresh from winning the 6-Max tournament yesterday, bought back into the Main Event before the start of play having fired two bullets yesterday and is looking to spin up his 30,000 starting stack.

On a flop of {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} Kabrhel bet 4,500 into three opponents and got two folds and one call from Michal Jurcenko.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Kabrhel gave Jurcenko his customary long stare before betting 13,500. Jurcenko flicked out the calling chips.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and another long stare before Kabrhel checked. Jurcenko checked behind and Kanrhel turned over his winning {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} while Jurcenko mucked.

Matthias De Meulder Bets River

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Matthias De Meulder had reached the river of a board reading {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and bet 27,500 which was right around half pot.

De Meulder sat stock still for several minutes as his opponent stared him down for several minutes, counting down his stack and looking for a reaction. He didn’t get a peep form De Meulder and eventually mucked his hand in frustration.

Flesar Starts Where He Left Off

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Marian Flesar
Marian Flesar

Chip leader Marian Flesar was straight into action against Marek Fritz betting 12,200 on a flop of {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Fritz called and they proceeded to check the turn {3-Diamonds} and river {3-Hearts}. Fritz showed his {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the missed flush draw and Flesar took the pot with his {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

His table then broke and with the assistance of a tournament staff, he carried his three stacks' worth of chips to his new table and was seated in the big blind. His new tablemates all stared in astonishment at Flesar's chipstack as the cards were dealt.

Jeremy Williams opened from the big blind to 3,300. The small blind called and Flesar three-bet to 9,600 out of the big blind. Williams called and the small blind folded.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Flesar continued for 14,700. Williams folded and Flesar added to his enormous chip stack.
