Raoul Refos

The full {4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board was already on the table and the pot had about 15,000 in it when Raoul Refos was all in from the button after a check from Majid Bozakraft from the cutoff. The all in of Refos was for about the size of the pot and Bozakraft had a decision to make.

Bozakraft ended up tossing a 10,000 chip to the middle and he saw Refos table {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Bozakraft showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for the winning hand.

Valentin Vornicu just joined the Main Event here in Rotterdam. Vornicu is the current record holder with the most WSOPC rings. Vornicu is the proud owner of twelve rings and is one ring ahead of Maurice Hawkins with eleven rings.

"I came all the way over here to play. So yes, I'm excited to play in the tournament. I left Romania at about 5 a.m. today and I just arrived here in Rotterdam. I haven't played since the Global Casino Championship."

The speaker announced through the entire room that Vornicu was in the building as he sat down at table 31, which happens to be the featured table with Kees van Brugge, Kevin Paque, and Fatima Moreira de Melo.

Gregor Prizmic-Martini

Gregor Prizmic-Martini just said that he saw the under the gun player raise to 1,500 and the player one seat over put in a three-bet. Prizmic-Martini put in a fourth bet holding {A-}{A-} and another player cold five-bet all in for about 35,000. The other players got out of the way but Prizmic-Martini called.

The other player was holding {K-}{K-} and the runout had an ace on it, but no help for the player with kings. Prizmic-Martini now plays around three times the starting stack.

Peters Doubles; Salter Left Short

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Tobias Peters just managed to double through his left-hand neighbor Jack Salter. The cards were already all on the table and it looked like a coinflip preflop.

Salter was playing {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Peters was playing {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and after the dealer counted Peters' stack it was clear that Salter would be left with a very small stack. Peters doubles to 80 big blinds while Salter is left with just 5 big blinds.
