The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is in Milwaukee to live report action the $1,700 Main Event, but is just one of a dozen gold ring events at the stop. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.
The stop featured two Senior Events, both of which cost $250 to enter. The first attracted 258 entries and saw a $51,600 prize pool distributed to the top 39 players. Among those to make the money were Jon Driver (35th - $341), Harvey Bundy (30th - $372), John Taylor (20th - $503), James Tessier (14th - $686), and Paul “Big Daddy” Elfelt (7th - $1,626), who actually won a ring in a Seniors event the last time the Circuit visited the venue.
In the end, Sam Rameshk of Milwaukee, Wisconsin bested Illinois’ Gerald Heath in heads-up play to win the title for $11,856 and a gold ring.

A player raised to 1,300 from the hijack, and Nicola Ditrapani, who won Event #7: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack here this week for his first WSOPC ring, called on the button. Daniel Sepiol three-bet to 7,700 from the big blind, and only the hijack called.
Sepiol led out for 5,000 on the flop, and his opponent quickly raised to 10,000. Sepiol jammed for 26,000 total, and his opponent went deep into the tank. After about two minutes, he released his hand.
"Wow...I'm really surprised," tablemate Alan Cutler told Sepiol while he was stacking his chips up.

Craig Trost raised to 1,400 from early position, and found a lone caller in the cutoff.
Trost bet 1,200 on the flop, and his opponent called.
Both players checked the turn, and Trost bet 1,600 on the river. His opponent considered his options for just a moment before folding, and Trost shrugged slightly as he raked in the pot.
