Vang Triples Up, Varnell Chips Up

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

Ying Vang was down to his last 10 big blind blinds, but tripled up in a three-way pit against Jonathan George and Craig Varnell. Vang's {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} was the winner on a {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} runout, and Vang is back in the hunt as Level 6 continues.

The hand took Varnell's stack down to 30,500, but on the very next hand Varnell chipped back up. In a four way pot, the action checked through on a {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop with about 10,000 in the middle.

Varnell then bet 5,000 from the small blind on the {5-Spades} turn, getting all three opponents to fold.

In what appeared to be a three-bet pot, with about 7,000 in the middle, Craig Varnell checked from the small blind on a {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop.

Ray Villaman put in a bet for 3,300, and Varnell raised to 9,300. Villaman then started contemplating his next move.

"You can see one if you fold, both if you call," Varnell said as Villaman continued to think about his decision. Villaman eventually folded, and Varnell showed the {10-Clubs} as he collected the pot.
