Georgiou Puts Pincombe to the Test

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

The action leading up to the situation at table 16 is unclear, but Greg Pincombe had an 11,000 bet in front of him from the big blind blind. Bob Georgiou, in the hijack, had the all-in button in front of him, with about 47,000 chips behind.

Pincombe anguished over the decision, as a call would have required a commitment of all of his chips.

"I only have 54 big blinds behind," said Pincombe, clearly not loving this particular spot. After several minutes, Pincombe folded, and Georgiou now sits on double the starting stack.

Traci Brown

Farhad Sinaei was on the button and had a bet of 3,000 in front of him on a board of {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against his opponent who had checked to him in the big blind. After some thought, he received a call.

Sinaei tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Spades} for Broadway and his opponent mucked, remarking that he had two pair. Sinaei acknowledged as he raked in the pot.

Meanwhile, Traci Brown's seat had been vacated after she was seen with only around 6,000 in chips prior to the hand. According to Billy Le, Brown shoved under the gun for 6,900 and another player in middle position called all in for 6,100. Action folded around to Careen Foster in the big blind and she quickly called.

Careen Foster: {q-}{q-}
Traci Brown: {j-}{j-}
Third Player: {10-}{10-}

Le narrated the flop: "Queen deuce four. Done! Bye-bye!" Foster had flopped top set and found herself to score the double knockout.

Foster then chimed in: "Then I gave them all to him!" as she pointed back at Le.

They both filled in the details, saying they played a big pot with Foster having {a-}{10-} and Le having {j-}{j-}, bringing the aforementioned player's stack sizes to their present totals.

JC Tran on Day 1a Action

JC Tran recently entered the tournament and has already found himself chipping up, recently winning a three-way pot in which he opened to 1,200 from middle position and received calls from players on the button and in the small blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Tran made a continuation-bet of 1,700 and both opponents folded, earning him the pot to bring his chip total to around one and a half starting stacks
