While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Main Event and High Roller, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about the full schedule of side events that have been playing out over the past week at the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Las Vegas.

In Event #6: $250 NLH Seniors, 219 seniors created a $43,800 prize pool that was paid out to the top 33 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Aaron Morris (11th- $730), James Rolling (13th - $615), Jeffrey Paulson (16th - $531), Michael Johnson (19th - $470), Dennis Jones (24th - $426) and John Ernst (28th - $379).

In the end, it was Nevada native Wayne Keller who collected every chip in play to capture his first ring along with a $10,301 payday.

Owen check-raised Cordeiro's 4,500 continuation bet to 15,000 and was called.

The {5-Clubs} turn was checked along with the {5-Diamonds} river and Owen tabled {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to scoop the pot as Cordeiro tossed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} into the muck.

Cordeiro Busts Lyons in Battle of the Blinds

Ferguson Spikes River to Double Through Jaka

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There was three-way action after a {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop between Faraz Jaka from late position, Chris Ferguson from the small blind and Mitchell Hecht from the big blind.

Action was checked to Jaka who fired out 9,000 into a 10,000 pot and Ferguson raised all in for 52,300. Hecht mucked his hand while Jaka called.

Jaka flopped top-pair with a back door flush draw while Ferguson held a pair of eights with an open-ended staright draw.

The {9-Diamonds} turn was no help to Ferguson but the {6-Hearts} river was one of the cards he was looking for as he scored the double up through Jaka.

Jaffee Scores the Double

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The player under the gun opened for 3,000 and was called by Jared Jaffee from middle position along with the small blind player.

The {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop was checked to the initial raiser who continued for 6,000 and was called by Jaffee while the small blind player folded.

The board paired on the turn with the {6-Spades} and action was checked to Jaffee who fired out 11,800 sending his opponent into the tank for a few moments but then he called.

The {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Jaffee's opponent quickly moved all in. Jaffee shook his head in disgust but called putting his stack at risk.
