Kovalchuk Gets There

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Katie Lindsay raised to 2,600 from under the gun and got called by Faraz Jaka on the button, the player in the small blind and Vladimir Kovalchuk in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Lindsay put out a continuation bet of 4,000 when the action checked to her. Jaka called, the small blind folded and Kovalchuk moved all in for 17,900. Lindsay went all in over the top and Jaka quickly folded.

Vladimir Kovalchuk: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Katie Lindsay: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Lindsay was ahead but not for long as the {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn. The meaningless {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Kovalchuk got the double up.

Paul Fisher: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Fisher was behind and needed some help but didn't receive any from the {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Hearts} runout ending his tournament.

Jazayeri Gets Paid on All Three Streets

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Sean Jazayeri raised to 3,000 on his button and got called by both players in the blinds.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Jazayeri bet 5,000 when the action checked to him. The small blind called and the big blind folded.

The board paired on the {8-Hearts} turn card and Jazayeri fired out another bet of 8,000 which again got called.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and Jazayeri bet 10,000 and tabled {a-Spades}{q-Spades} after his opponent paid the bet.

While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Main Event and High Roller, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about the full schedule of side events that have been playing out over the past week at the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Las Vegas.

In Event #5: $400 NLH Bounty, 86 entries created a $19,780 prize pool that was paid out to the top 13 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Joris Springael (10th- $464), Nghi Tran (11th - $464), Lloyd Yamada (12th - $464), and John Nowak (13th - $444).

In the end, it was Las Vegas native Steve Foutty who collected every chip in play to capture his first ring along with a $6,042 payday.

This is Foutty’s third ring in the 2019-2020 Circuit season. Before this season, it had been four years since his last Circuit victory. Despite the hot streak, Foutty insists he’s not doing anything differently. “Just continuing to grind,” he said.

Now that he’s a member of the six-ring club, only 17 players are ahead of him on the all-time rings list.

Pekarek Three Outs Yu

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Pekarek moved all in for his last 8,900 from early position and Ryan Yu threw in a chip to call from middle position. The rest of the table folded and they turned their cards over.

Jeremy Pekarek: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Ryan Yu: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Pekarek was behind and at risk but the {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop sent him into the lead. The {2-Hearts} and {k-Clubs} completed the board to give Pekarek the full double up.

Ferguson Flops Top-Set and Improves on River for Double

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

There was all in action preflop between Chris "Jesus" Ferguson on the button and Mitchell Hecht from the small blind with Ferguson's stack at risk.

Mitchell Hecht: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Chris Ferguson: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Hecht was behind and needed help to eliminate Ferguson but things got worse after the case ace fell on the {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Spades} flop giving Ferguson top-set.

The {q-Spades} turn gave Hecht two-pair and the dealer added salt on top of the wound dropping another with the {q-Diamonds} on the river giving both players full house's but Ferguson held the better of it snagging the double.
