Graner Moves All In On The River

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player raised to 800 from early position and the hijack three-bet to 2,400. Stephen Graner cold-called from the big blind and the initial raiser came along as well.

All three players checked the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop and Graner led out for 2,600 on the {7-Spades} turn card. The player in early position called and the hijack folded.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Graner moved all in for 25,600. His opponent folded and Graner collected the pot.

Levanon Jams the River

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 3,000 already in the pot a player in the cutoff bet 1,400 on a board reading {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}. Daniel Levanon called on the button and both of the blinds folded.

Levanon called another bet of 3,500 on the {a-Diamonds} turn card and they went to a river.

The {9-Clubs} completed the board and the cutoff bet 12,000. Levanon gave it some thought before he announced all in. It was only an additional 8,000 to call but his opponent went deep into the tank before he eventually folded.

After the hand Levanon said he did have {q-}{j-} for the straight.

Affleck Turns Up the Heat

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

Bryant Morrison opened for 800 from the cutoff and Matt Affleck three-bet to 3,000 from the small blind. Lester Lenart mucked his big blind and action was back on Morrison who called.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Affleck continued for 3,000 which was good enough to scoop the pot after Morrison mucked his hand.

Haresh Thaker Wins Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Main Event and High Roller, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about the full schedule of side events that have been playing out over the past week at the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Las Vegas.

In Event #2: $400 NLH, 219 runners created a $75,000 prize pool that was paid out to the top 34 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Michael Hanelin (11th - $1,243), Mike Shin (17th - $904), Jason Seitz (20th - $797), Arkadiy Tsinis (27th - $668), and Melissa Bryne (33rd - $604).

In the end, it was United Kingdom native Haresh Thaker who collected every chip in play to capture his first ring along with a $17,520 payday.

Thaker survived a final table that included five-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Steve Foutty and he also survived a grueling three-handed battle against Jaime Edmondson Longoria and Ryan Dodd that lasted more than two hours long.

Thaker's only other career World Series of Poker cash came in 2014 when he finished in 8th place and just two spots shy of the final table in the $1,500 10-Game Mix 6-Handed event at the World Series of Poker at the Rio.

As soon as Thaker was pushed the final winning pot, he max late-registered in Event #3: $600 No-Limit Hold'em to try to keep his winning momentum going. Event #3 also missed its guarantee by a few thousand dollars.

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante
Lester Lenart

There were three players that saw a {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop after an initial preflop raise.

Action was checked to Lester Lenart who fired out a 1,200 bet from late position and Jeremy Pekarek called on the button. Action was on Bryant Morrison who raised to 3,200 from the big blind and was called by Lenart while Pekarek folded.

The {q-Clubs} turn wad checked to the {10-Diamonds} river where Morrison called Lenart's 4,000 bet after he checked his option.

Lenart tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nuts and Morrison tossed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} into the muck.
