White Gets Value

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

With a board that read {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Marshall White bet 6,000. He got a call from Jose Reyes. White turned over the {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for the full boat and Reyes mucked his hand as White collected some value.

Tice Hits River

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

In a three-way all in, John Tice held {a-}{k-} against the {8-}{8-} of one opponent and the {a-}{q-} of another.

The board stayed safe for the eights until the river when the {k-Spades} came off to bust the player with eights, greatly damage the payer with ace-queen and give Tice a huge pot

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is at Florida’s Seminole Coconut Creek to live report action from both the $2,200 High Roller and $1,700 Main Event, but is just one of a dozen gold ring events at the stop. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.

In Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em, a 65-entry field created a $21,450 prize pool that was distributed to the top 10 players.

The title came down to 62-year-old Scott Roberts and David Moreno with the former ultimately coming out on top to win the title, $6,994 top prize, and his second gold ring.

He won his first ring during the 2017/18 WSOP Circuit series after topping a field of 227 competitors in the $250 Seniors Event at Harrah’s New Orleans.

“It feels unbelievable. I hit some hands, made some good moves, and got the chip lead,” Roberts said after the win.

O'Brien Takes Decent Pot

Level 5 : 200/300, 300 ante

After more chips went into the middle on the turn to build a pot of close to 20,000, the river filled out the board to read {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Harold O'Brien and his opponent both checked the river and O'Brien reveled the {k-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pair which was enough to take the decent sized pot.
